Talega Golf Club, plus the Swim and Athletic Club, are the two private amenities that anchor resident life. Vista Del Mar Park, San Gorgonio Park, and the Talega Ridge Trail feed the outdoor calendar, and the Talega Nature Preserve at the northern edge protects 1,000 acres of coastal sage scrub that runs up to San Onofre State Park land. Vista Del Mar Middle and High schools sit at the center of the neighborhood, which drives a heavy graduation-party calendar every June. Talega has no rail station; the closest is San Clemente Pier or North Beach Metrolink, and Sol Agave’s Camino De Los Mares kitchen is under 10 minutes from every Talega address.
